Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Assist chefs in food preparation and basic cooking activities
Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, sauces, and garnishes
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen work areas
Follow recipes, portion control, and kitchen instructions accurately
Ensure proper storage and handling of food products
Support kitchen staff during busy service hours
Maintain kitchen equipment and utensils properly
Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies
Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
Minimize food wastage and maintain stock rotation (FIFO)
Perform opening and closing kitchen duties as assigned
Learn and develop culinary skills under senior chefs

Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts preferred
1 2 years of experience in restaurant, hotel, or catering kitchens preferred
Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations

Good teamwork and communication skills
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
