Primary Purpose of the Job
Function as Discipline Lead and Technical Authority (TA2), providing technical leadership and guidance to a team of discipline engineers on Project. Lead and manage the CONTRACTOR's work and team for the successful execution of the Project and to achieve the required technical quality and integrity of work while considering project objectives in terms of safety, time and cost. Review and approve discipline deliverables.
Required Experience and Skills- Minimum 20 years of post‑graduate experience, including 15 years in the power generation / energy industry, with at least 5 years in proven leadership roles.
- Shell Technical Authority Level 2 (TA2), equivalent, or eligible for TA2 certification.
- Experience across Concept/Feasibility, FEED, and EPIC project phases.
- Strong technical knowledge of Process Engineering standards, including international standards and Shell DEPs.
- Knowledge of QatarEnergy Standards, Procedures, and Guidelines (preferred).
- Proven experience in discipline planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and execution within project constraints.
- Strong understanding of project management principles; PMP certification preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem‑solving and technical decision‑making capabilities.
- Ability to identify engineering risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Strong conflict management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in process engineering software and tools relevant to the discipline.
Educational Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Instrument & Control Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer status or a postgraduate degree in a relevant field.
