Job Summary
Job Description:
The Quality Control Officer is responsible for ensuring that all raw materials, production processes, and finished products meet the required quality standards and specifications. The role focuses on maintaining compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality systems while supporting continuous improvement within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect , receive and verify raw materials before use in production to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Monitor production processes and ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Conduct in-process quality checks throughout all production stages.
- Perform final product testing and inspection to ensure conformity with required standards.
- Ensure proper implementation of Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) across the facility.
- Maintain accurate quality records, including:
- Production and batch records
- Temperature and humidity logs
- Cleaning and sanitation reports
- Train employees on quality, hygiene, and safety procedures.
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Production teams.
- Ensure compliance with Good Storage Practices (GSP).
- Previous experience dealing with the National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) is required.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Agriculture, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum (6) months of experience in Quality Control within manufacturing or food production environments.
- Solid knowledge of:
- GMP
- GHP
- HACCP
- ISO 22000 (preferred)
- FSSC 22000 (preferred)
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to analyze data and identify quality issues.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Reports).
- Good command of English (written and spoken) is preferred.
