ARABIC PROFILES WITH HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE BASED IN QATAR

The purpose of this role is to provide patient education to individuals and groups work with patients to understand programs and treatments options as per the international standards.

Assists HOD to develop and implement processes which allow for evaluation of the standards of service provided and to ensure each program has its own devolved, high performing patient education service consistent with wider Naufar policies, standard and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in Planning, developing, and implementing individual and group Patient education for adults, adolescents, their families, and caregivers.
• Identifies educational needs of patient/family by collaborating and attending clinical staffs.
• Act as resource person for other healthcare workers and participate in providing educational programs as required.
• Dedicates to advising a substance use disorders patients and suggest necessary education programs.
• Collects data, plans, and prepares reports for performance improvement and/or quality assurance audits on patient education programs.
• Communicates and markets Patient education programs to a broad target audience using appropriate methods and based on identified/assessed needs.
• Consults with physicians and other health care providers regarding patient’s specific clinical and health related issues and education needs.
• Participates in multi-disciplinary care teams and committees.
• Develops long term and short-term patient education programs according to patient needs and monitor these programs till execution.
• Selects, adapts, and individualizes patient education information for the patient/family by evaluating available brochures, printed materials, video tapes, and external resources considering the age, culture, religious practices, and language of the patient/family/significant other(s).
• Identifies future patient education requirements and understand emerging patient education requirements, identifying community and other resources.
• Serves and protects Naufar Center community by adhering to professional standards, policies, and procedures, CARF standards etc.
• Reviews and recommends high quality, culturally appropriate written and audio-visual health content.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Knowledgeable of and complies with laws, rules, and regulations that govern healthcare practice in Qatar.
• Participates in continuing education programs, meetings, training programs, and related activities.
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and quality improvement and infection control standards.
• Undertake agreed programmers of continuing professional development and trainings to expand knowledge and expertise in the field.

Professional/Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field
• Valid Medical license from licensing authority in the State of Qatar.
• Valid Primary license from the country of origin
• Up-to date CPD in relevant areas.
• 4 years’ experience in healthcare related field.
• Supporting Service and Research and Development.
• Knowledge of healthcare as applied to the mental health field and addiction.
