We are currently seeking an Operational Risk Officer to join a leading financial institution in Qatar. This is an excellent opportunity for a risk professional with banking experience to contribute to the implementation and enhancement of the organization's Operational and Enterprise Risk Management framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Operational & Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
• Conduct Operational, IT, Vendor, New Product, and Project Risk Assessments.
• Facilitate Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for risk incidents and near misses.
• Manage operational risk incidents, loss event reporting, and recommend effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Support Business Continuity Management (BCM) activities, Business Impact Analysis (BIA), and vendor risk assessments.
• Monitor and report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), risk appetite metrics, and operational risk trends.
• Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and risk committees.
• Collaborate with business units to identify, assess, and mitigate operational and technology-related risks.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Support enterprise-wide risk awareness initiatives and promote a strong risk culture across the organization.

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Operational Risk, Enterprise Risk, or Risk Management within the banking or financial services sector.
• Practical experience in:

- Operational Risk Management

- IT Risk Assessment

- Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)

- Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

- Business Impact Analysis (BIA)

- Business Continuity Management (BCM)

- Vendor Risk Assessment

- Incident & Loss Event Reporting

- Enterprise Risk Reporting

• Good understanding of banking regulations, operational risk frameworks, and governance practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in a GCC banking environment is highly preferred
