Key Responsibilities

1. Maintenance & Repair

Perform routine preventive maintenance on rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, generators, turbines) and stationary equipment (valves, pipelines, pressure vessels).

Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures and execute corrective actions.

Assist in the overhaul and installation of new machinery and components.

Conduct inspections to detect issues such as leaks, corrosion, or unusual wear patterns.

2. Operational Support

Monitor control panels, gauges, and instruments to ensure equipment is operating within specified parameters.

Support drilling and workover operations by maintaining deck machinery and rig equipment.

Isolate equipment (Lock-Out/Tag-Out) for maintenance and assist in recommissioning after repairs.

3. Safety & Compliance

Strictly adhere to Permit to Work (PTW) systems and safety protocols.

Participate in Toolbox Talks, safety meetings, and emergency response drills.

Ensure the work area is maintained in a clean and hazard-free condition (Housekeeping).

Report near misses, unsafe conditions, and environmental incidents immediately.

4. Documentation

Accurately complete maintenance logs, work orders, and inspection reports.

Track spare parts usage and assist in inventory management.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Certification

High School Diploma or equivalent (Technical/Vocational diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is highly preferred).

Valid certifications in relevant safety standards (e.g., BOSIET, OGUK, or H2S awareness) depending on location.

Trade certification (e.g., Millwright, Fitter, Electrician) is a strong advantage.

Experience

2–5 years of experience in a maintenance role, preferably within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Heavy Industrial sectors.

Experience working in remote or offshore environments is a plus.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in reading Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and technical manuals.

Working knowledge of hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.

Basic understanding of electrical systems, hydraulics, and diesel engines.
