Communication
Internal Communication:
• Supervisor, Freight, Customs Documentation team, Warehouse personnel, Drivers
• Financial Accountant and Accounts department
Purpose:
• Ensures that inbound and outbound consignments are processed in a timely manner in accordance to agreed customer service level agreements and documentation requirements.
• Ensure that payments have been processed, follow up on outstanding accounts receivables.
External Communication:
• Customs authorities and JAFZA / EHS Authorities
• Customers, Shipping lines and agencies, TransportersTransporters
Purpose:
• Ensure compliance with all relevant local procedures and processes.  Ensure payments and all customs formalities are executed in accordance with regulations.
• Communicate and coordinate documentation and other activities in line with customer requirements.
• Coordinate with transport companies to ensure deliveries are processed in line with customer requirements.

Accountability:
Are accountable for their acts and omissions.
Responsibility:
To follow agreed safe systems of work; to follow training and instructions; and to report accidents, incidents and near misses.
Authority:
To stop work if they think the work is unsafe.



Responsibilities:

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare Customs Documentation based on Instructions from customer and input information into Customs online system (Emirsal).
• Liaise with customers for following up on Exit Certificates, any other documents to be received.
• Liaise with Shipping Lines for collecting Delivery Order.
• Process Documents and other requests (Certificate of Origin etc.)  on Customs Portal or Manually as required ensuring compliance with customs processes.
• Ensure all Customs Documentation Jobs are rounded up and closed (Exit Certificates received and forwarded to Customs, Outstanding  payments and dues recovered, all jobs billed appropriately, re-submission of backdated exit documents for clearing the same).
• Prepare Job Cards for jobs executed and submit the same to Accountant for Invoicing.
• Arrange for Transport  if required (in consultation with Supervisor, Freight).
• Coordinate with Messengers for collection and delivery of Customs and related documents from Shipping Lines, Customer's office, etc.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Follow specified systems, processes and procedures, implemented in the workplace, to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and other requirements/standards
• Work safely at all times, protecting the health and safety of everyone in the workplace



Qualifications:

Education & Professional Qualification:
Secondary/High School 



Professional Experience: 
2-3 Years working experience in similar capacity


Geographic Experience: 
Desirable


Computer Skills: 
Good knowledge of Office and web applications


Language Skills: 
English - Written & Spoken


Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge: 
Desirable
