Job Overview
The Field Operator II performs hands-on operational and maintenance activities using Weatherford equipment, machinery, and systems. This role applies established techniques, procedures, and technical work instructions to safely and efficiently execute field and workshop assignments. While this description covers core Field Operator responsibilities, senior incumbents may assume additional leadership duties at the rig site or workshop, including job coordination and team supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all duties in accordance with Weatherford policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Workplace Practices.
- Actively participate in daily operations, safety meetings, toolbox talks, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), promptly reporting any issues through approved reporting systems.
- Maintain equipment, facilities, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition at all times.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of operational and non-operational documentation, support systems, technical work instructions, and quality standards.
- Conduct functional testing, inspection, and monitoring of equipment in strict adherence to work instructions and within the scope of training and competency.
- Inspect used parts to identify dimensional changes using appropriate measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Execute maintenance activities including unloading, disassembly, cleaning, pressure testing, visual inspection, assembly, loading, and storage of tools, ensuring accurate completion of all required documentation.
- Rig up and rig down equipment in compliance with approved procedures and competency levels.
- Clean, lubricate, repair, operate, service, and maintain mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic equipment as per work instructions.
- Drive company vehicles (e.g., pickups, trucks, truck-mounted units) to well sites while maintaining a satisfactory driving record.
- In senior or advanced roles, lead and support other Field Operators by planning and coordinating jobs, troubleshooting equipment issues, implementing corrective actions, mentoring team members, and conducting competency assessments.
- Senior roles may also oversee workshop operations, define work schedules, distribute assignments, and conduct inspections to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance with SOPs.
- Perform any other duties safely as assigned by the supervisor, within the physical requirements of the role.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Basic computer skills.
