Job Purpose
• Provide contract administration, change order analysis and negotiation plans for executing a complex and high value EPC contract for MP
Key Job Accountabilities
• Draft letters and correspondence
• Must be able to independently formulate a position based on the contract terms and conditions and support the position that has been developed.
• Change Order analysis and valuation in accordance with the contract requirements
• Examine scope of work and commercial documentations to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory, company and local standards.
• Participate in contract audit, review records for accuracy and conformance to standards and address any audit findings for compliance with established procedures.
• Steward the EPC Contractor’s activities with respect to contract administration ensuring that all affected parties are familiar with contract terms and conditions, contract provisions, coordination procedures, contract objectives and overall job requirements. In addition coordinate any required communication with EPC Contractor to resolve warranty, payment and milestone issues.
• Facilitate close-out by ensuring contract obligation has been fulfilled and invoices have been paid and that no outstanding claims exist and all deliverables have been received and approved.
• Ensure the timely close-out of all change oriented correspondence to avoid potential claims.
Skills
-Minimum Requirements--
Qualifications
• Educational: One of the following
o Chartered Quantity Surveyor, OR
o B.S. in Engineering, OR
o Demonstrable experience of 15+ years in the field
Knowledge and Key Skills
• 10 years’ experience as a contracts administrator, quantity surveyor or similar
• Megaproject experience preferably in the oil and gas industry with exposure to contract law, negotiations, contractor management, insurance, legal and industry practices.
