Communication
Internal Communication:
Steel section foreman, charge-hand and group leaders 
Purpose:
To receive the working instructions.
To communicate with other section personnel during work.  To communicate with the peoples inside the organization.  Advantage to communicate with peoples in the region during work.
External Communication:

Occupational Health & Safety and Environment
Accountability:
Are accountable for their acts and omissions.
Responsibility:
To follow agreed safe systems of work; to follow training and instructions; and to report accidents, incidents and near misses.
Authority:
To stop work if they think the work is unsafe.

Responsibilities:

Key Roles & Responsibilities
• To carry out all type of gas cutting jobs, all type of steel fabrication works and ship repair works.
• Read drawings, sketches and preparation of steel plates with accurate measurement.
• To work independently with the instruction of steel section foreman, charge-hand and group leaders.  Fabrication involved cropping, preparation, fabrication and tack welding.
• Ensuring that all works are carried out in a safe manner and in compliance with the divisions quality assurance procedures and quality manuals
• Layout, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines according to drawings and templates, using measuring equipment.
• Housekeeping & Safety – Ensure the workplace and worksite are kept clean and tidy, during and after completion of work. Customer premises/facilities are to be treated with respect and kept clean at all times.
• Ensure all operations/work are carried out in a safe manner; ensure fellow workers wear the correct PPE.
• Practical, technical skill, good co-ordination, problem solving skills and to be able to complete detailed and accurate work.
• Working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.



Qualifications:

Education & Professional Qualification:
I.T.I. Training or relevant diploma and ability read/understand the fabrication drawings.
Professional Experience:
Primary school certificate or ITI certificate or equivalent.
Professional Experience:
• Total minimum 06 years’ experience in structural fabrication and erection with well-known company in Ship repair, marine or Oil & Gas field.
• Minimum 4 year experience in a Structural fitter/fabricator role.
• Heavy industry steel fabrication and basic piping fabrication experience.
• Shipyard or ship repair experience will be preferred.
• Experience in ship conversion, block fabrication and erection and steel renewal work.
• Experience in oil and gas structural fabrication like Jacket, module, skid and  pipe rack 
• Experience in offshore fabrication and erection.
Geographic Experience:
Minimum 2 years experience as a structural fitter/fabricator with well-known company in Ship repair, marine or Oil & Gas field.
Computer Skills:
Basic knowledge of computer
Language Skills:
• Working knowledge of English (verbal and written).
• Knowledge of Hindi/Urdu will be an added advantage
Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge:
Knowledge of ship repair yard functions activities.
Basic knowledge Hydro testing/Air pressure testing 
Basic knowledge of Ship and oil and gas terminology.
