We’re Hiring: Senior Mechanical Engineer – Package / Rotating Equipment
Location: Doha, Qatar (Office Based) Employment Type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities Lead mechanical engineering activities for package and rotating equipment in oil & gas projects. Review and approve vendor documents, engineering calculations, and technical specifications. Prepare and review requisitions, datasheets, bid evaluations, and technical queries. Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure project requirements are achieved. Monitor vendor performance and resolve technical issues during engineering and procurement stages. Ensure compliance with project specifications, international codes, company standards, and HSE requirements. Support procurement, inspection, testing, installation, commissioning, and project close-out activities. Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, and client meetings when required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Postgraduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering.13+ years of experience in mechanical engineering within the Oil & Gas/EPC industry. Strong experience with package and rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, fans, and associated systems. Sound knowledge of API, ASME, and international engineering standards. Experience in vendor management, technical bid evaluation, and multidisciplinary coordination. Proficiency in engineering documentation, datasheets, specifications, and technical reports. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience working on major EPC projects in the Middle East. Familiarity with P&IDs, piping layouts, engineering drawings, and quality management systems.
