Material Coordinator

  • Reporting directly to Project Controls and Business Services Head, Materials Coordinator will be responsible for the activities associated with Materials Management.

  • Updating Bill of Material (BOM) in SAP Materials Module related to projects, spare parts management, blinding / de-blinding materials management and support in timely delivery for project materials including shut down projects.


* Co-ordination for creation of new Tag numbers & Functional location through Docs & Standards and Materials & Integrity System.* Support in Long lead Materials procurement activities
* Proficient in SAP ESM/MM module to carry out related transaction in SAP accurately* Adherence to applicable Material Management and other applicable procedures
* Proper verification and validation of Vendor field/service tickets and associated charges* Provide support to multiple business areas on timely basis.
* Efficient issues resolution.* Updating of Bill of Materials (BOM) in SAP on completion of each project in co-ordination with Projects, Materials & Integrity and Planning Teams.
* Receipt of LNG Procured items and co-ordination of receiving inspection and hand over to the Contractor for installation. Also responsible for making sure that all Contractor procured items are received, inspected, issued for construction and re-conciliation as per the Company approved procedures per contract.* Stock checking for projects requirements, reserve & issue of materials for projects.
* Responsible for return of LNG supplied surplus materials to LNG stock through Material Return System (MRS) on completion of each project.* Handover of vendor supplied spares as part of the projects to warehouse with necessary write on documents.
* Creation of new Materials Master Template (MMT) as required for new project requirements in co-ordination with the Projects, Materials & Integrity and Planning Teams* Creation of new PR system as required for new projects and co-ordination with LNG Supply Department for procurement follow-up.
* Co-ordination for creation of new Tag numbers & Functional location through Docs & Standards and Materials & Integrity System.* Main Tag number & Functional location creation shall be done during Engineering Stage by Discipline/Project Engineers through Docs. & Standards and Materials & Integrity System.
* Forwarding the Recommended Spare Part List (RSPL) to Materials & Integrity for their records and BOM updates as required.* Co-ordination with Docs & Standards for handover of final vendor documentation for all newly purchased items.
* Critical documents such as Data sheets etc. to be forwarded to Materials & Integrity for updating in SAP Data Management System (DMS).* Ensure that Contractor's site materials management, handling, storage and preservation procedures are strictly in line with the Company approved procedures.
* Pre-gate 2 supports Procurement strategy alignment and materials budgetary offers from vendors* Materials Procurement Tracking and expediting to meet the on-site delivery dates for Shut down projects.
* Asset Disposal approvals and disposal of scrap and redundant equipment through WMD



* A Degree/Diploma in Engineering* Experience in Project materials management activities including warehousing / site inventory control process.
* A good level of analytical and structured approach to formulation and administering contractual issues together with skills in appropriate computer software, technical report writing and good English written and oral skills.* Highly proficient in SAP Materials Management Module and MS Office
* Knowledge of financial and accounting procedures is an advantage* Should be proactive, a self-starter, and be able to work with minimal supervision
* Able to plan, monitor, and coordinate work activities.* Ability to demonstrate capacity to work well in team situations.
* A good level of analytical and structured approach to materials management functions together with skills in appropriate computer software expertise in SAM MM module, technical report writing and good English written and oral skills.* Concern for quality, initiative, flexibility, self-confidence, teamwork and co-operation are the key competencies.
* Knowledge of Contract laws and industry practices will be added advantage* Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member




  • Salary:

    • Day Rate in USD Plus Allowance
