• Lead and coordinate pipeline pre-commissioning activities onshore and offshore.
• Provide technical expertise to ensure pipeline pre-commissioning priorities are aligned across all departments.
• Ensure the pipeline scope of work is completed in accordance with technical, safety, and quality requirements.

Job Context & Major Challenges

• Ensure full understanding of contractual agreements for pipeline pre-commissioning scope.
• Support contractors in achieving project scope in line with specifications and deliverables.
• Ensure technical objectives are met safely, within scope and schedule.
• Resolve cross-departmental issues through effective communication and collaboration.
• Align project priorities across departments and support milestone achievement.
• Contribute to investigations and improvement initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

1. Act as focal point for pipeline pre-commissioning activities, promoting safety and implementing safety programs.
2. Provide technical expertise to ensure compliance with project deliverables.
3. Participate in risk assessments, HAZIDs, constructability reviews, ensuring alignment with safety and quality standards.
4. Lead and coordinate pipeline pre-commissioning activities, ensuring adherence to project schedule.
5. Support Commissioning/Systems Completion Division Manager in executing responsibilities.
6. Manage all pipeline pre-commissioning activities including system completion and deliverables.
7. Coordinate site activities with other disciplines and provide technical support to contractors.
8. Review and approve system completion and pre-commissioning documents.
9. Maintain a lessons learned register to support continuous improvement.

Skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering

Experience

• Minimum 8 years in medium to large project commissioning in the Oil & Gas industry
• Experience with pipeline pre-commissioning activities: FCG, hydrotest, intelligent pigging (ILI), dewatering, drying, pre-batch pigging, N2 packing
• Familiarity with intelligent pigging technologies: MFL, UT, EC, EMAT, geometric/calliper tools
• Advantageous: Experience with ICAPS system completion database
• Proficient in reading P&IDs, datasheets, GA drawings, procedures
• Knowledge of project execution, engineering, operations, commissioning, and systems completion
• Understanding of contract compliance, codes, standards, and technical specifications
• Experience with vendors in LNG or similar industries
• Background in operations, projects, subsurface, or start-up support
