<h4>Responsibilities</h4>
<p>Our newest opportunity is for a talented Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our award-winning MEP Design team based in Doha, Qatar.</p>
<p>We envisage success in this role to include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for commercial, residential, hospitality, and entertainment buildings.</li>
<li>Using Autodesk Revit tools to present design and engineering solutions.</li>
<li>Researching, planning, designing, and developing building engineering systems for plumbing engineering in consultation and coordination with the Lead Engineer.</li>
<li>Working under supervision of the Lead Engineer to perform engineering evaluations, feasibility studies, conceptual and final design, cost estimates, and engineering calculations.</li>
<li>Assisting Lead Engineer/Senior Engineer in administering contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment.</li>
<li>Preparing and documenting calculations complete with support references to codes and standards, scanning and locating in the project folder under the correct project number for future access by any member of staff located in any of the KEO offices.</li>
<li>Preparing data and QAQC document sheets for the QAQC reviewers.</li>
<li>Performing other duties as assigned by the Lead Engineer/Senior Engineer.</li>
<li>Managing activities under supervision within own field of responsibility.</li>
<li>Applying technical aptitude to tasks to solve day-to-day problems, always willing to learn new skills.</li>
<li>Using initiative to ensure work processes, procedures, and systems are effective and efficient.</li>
<li>Contributing to the effective functioning of the team by identifying with and participating in the attainment of team objectives, communicating and sharing knowledge.</li>
<li>Building understanding of design, construction, and project management concepts.</li>
<li>Documenting all designs in accordance with requirements of design practice manuals.</li>
<li>Communicating effectively at all levels to support collaborative work practices and achievement of team goals.</li>
<li>Maintaining client orientation in the delivery of services of the team.</li>
<li>Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety legislation and KEO H&S policies.</li>
</ul>
<h4>Qualifications</h4>
<p>To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include a minimum of 10 years' work experience partnered with a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering.</p>
<p>High level of proficiency in Revit MEP; AutoCAD, Elite Fire, MS Office is required.</p>
<p>Full knowledge of HVAC, Public Health Principles (potable hot and cold water, solar domestic hot water preheating, LPG/NG, above/below ground foul/waste/rainwater drainage, and fire protection systems).</p>
<p>Knowledge of local and international design standards.</p>
<p>Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate international project experience, with Middle East project experience preferred.</p>
