• Design residential and commercial projects including plans for building permit application and construction. This includes specifications of components, design of system and mechanical points of connection, site plans, layouts and mechanical details and schematics.
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team which includes consultants, design engineers, execution project engineers and project managers to design and produce construction plans for different scale projects.
• Prepare permit applications
• Provide design support to the execution team as required.
• Conduct site inspections with Execution Engineers as needed.
• Assist in initiating projects and managing them in relation to mechanical installations, removals, upgrades and internal design
• Supervise mechanical installations and operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and with operational and safety standards.

Skills

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• A least five (5) years of work experience in a similar position in a construction/contracting company
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, MatLab and other design software
• Knowledge in mechanical engineering concepts and design principles
• Ability to mix design concepts with construction quality
