Responsibilities:

• Execute large-scale trades and manage significant trading positions in the oil and gas midstream sector.
• Analyze market trends, news, and data specific to the oil and gas industry to make informed trading decisions.
• Mentor junior traders and provide guidance on strategies and best practices within the midstream sector.
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, suppliers, and other market participants.
• Monitor and manage risk associated with trading activities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments, including logistics and operations, to ensure alignment with overall business strategy.
• Stay updated with regulatory changes and ensure compliance with trading regulations specific to the oil and gas industry.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Specialization in oil and gas is a plus.
• Proven experience as a trader in the oil and gas industry with a strong track record of successful trades.
• In-depth knowledge of financial markets, trading strategies, and the oil and gas midstream sector.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
• Proficiency in trading software and tools relevant to the oil and gas industry.

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced degree (MBA, CFA) is a plus.
• Experience with algorithmic trading in the oil and gas sector.
• Familiarity with international oil and gas markets.
