The BMS/SCADA Operator plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems within a medical hospital environment. This position is vital for ensuring that all systems function optimally, contributing to the overall safety and comfort of patients and staff. The operator will monitor, control, and maintain various systems, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while also facilitating seamless operations across the facility.

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and operate BMS and SCADA systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to prevent downtime.
  3. Respond promptly to alarms and system alerts, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  4. Maintain accurate records of system performance, maintenance activities, and incidents.
  5. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement system upgrades and improvements.
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
  7. Train and support staff on the proper use of BMS and SCADA systems.
  8. Assist in the development and implementation of operational procedures and protocols.
  9. Provide technical support for system-related inquiries and issues.
  10. Participate in emergency response drills and contribute to safety audits.
