Safety & Risk Management Consultant (7-12 Year’s Experience)
Job Responsibilities:
- Experience in Qualitative and Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA), including consequence and frequency modelling tools and software (PHAST, SAFETI, Flaresim etc).
- Undertaking Consequence modelling, Fire Risk Assessments, Flare radiation and vent dispersion and fire protection system / detection system design
- Undertaking qualitative and quantitative risk assessments (using software such as PHAST, SAFETI, ExSILentia, Bowtie XP, PHA PRO).
- Experience in design of (active and passive) fire protection systems and safety equipment specification and location (fire/gas detector layouts, evacuation route layouts, safety equipment location plans, etc.). Proficient in Pipenet software (Transient and Steady state).
- Undertaking MAHM related studies including Bow tie, EERA, ESSA, COMAH studies, Safety case generation, ALARP demonstrations etc.,
- Ensure the correct application of project procedures, engineering specifications and international codes and standards (NFPA, API, OGP etc.,)
- Preparing proposals under direction of Principal Consultant / Director.
- Interface with Client on technical issues on process safety design.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering. Minimum 7-12 years relevant post qualification experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, both onshore and offshore fields, with experience in process safety in different project engineering phases (Concept, FEED, EPC, Operation)
- Familiarity with ADNOC/QatarEnergy Standards, international HSE codes, SHELL DEP and NFPA standards.
- Previous HSE Consultancy experience in Middle East (especially UAE, Qatar, Muscat).
- Advanced skills in the most common MS Office applications and Office365 suite.
- Project management experience and client facing skills.
- Ability to manage project workload and function in a team environment.
- Good analytical skills and experience in report construction and writing.
- Good verbal and written communication skills (in English).
- Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively overseas.
- MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period.
