Safety & Risk Management Consultant (7-12 Year’s Experience)

Job Responsibilities:


  1. Experience in Qualitative and Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA), including consequence and frequency modelling tools and software (PHAST, SAFETI, Flaresim etc).
  2. Undertaking Consequence modelling, Fire Risk Assessments, Flare radiation and vent dispersion and fire protection system / detection system design
  3. Undertaking qualitative and quantitative risk assessments (using software such as PHAST, SAFETI, ExSILentia, Bowtie XP, PHA PRO).
  4. Experience in design of (active and passive) fire protection systems and safety equipment specification and location (fire/gas detector layouts, evacuation route layouts, safety equipment location plans, etc.). Proficient in Pipenet software (Transient and Steady state).
  5. Undertaking MAHM related studies including Bow tie, EERA, ESSA, COMAH studies, Safety case generation, ALARP demonstrations etc.,
  6. Ensure the correct application of project procedures, engineering specifications and international codes and standards (NFPA, API, OGP etc.,)
  7. Preparing proposals under direction of Principal Consultant / Director.
  8. Interface with Client on technical issues on process safety design.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering. Minimum 7-12 years relevant post qualification experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, both onshore and offshore fields, with experience in process safety in different project engineering phases (Concept, FEED, EPC, Operation)
  2. Familiarity with ADNOC/QatarEnergy Standards, international HSE codes, SHELL DEP and NFPA standards.
  3. Previous HSE Consultancy experience in Middle East (especially UAE, Qatar, Muscat).
  4. Advanced skills in the most common MS Office applications and Office365 suite.
  5. Project management experience and client facing skills.
  6. Ability to manage project workload and function in a team environment.
  7. Good analytical skills and experience in report construction and writing.
  8. Good verbal and written communication skills (in English).
  9. Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively overseas.
  10. MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period.
