Responsibilities
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Senior Tender/Proposal Engineer, seconded to our Client from government sector in Doha, Qatar.
This role is responsible for preparing technical documents for tenders and project delivery, ensuring consistency, and identifying potential contractual flaws to mitigate risks and enforce obligations, for our client.
We envisage success in this role to include;
- Reviewing technical tender documents from various disciplines, including Civil Works, MEP, Architecture and Systems.
- Reviewing technical tender documents to identify potential contractual flaws, such as missing information, errors, inconsistencies and/or provisions that could lead to (i) claims and/or variations, (ii) lack of clarity or completeness regarding the Contractor’s obligations, and/or (iii) inability to price the tender documents by potential bidders.
- Maintaining consistency across all technical tender documents, ensuring that language, format, and information are standardized.
- Ensuring consistency between the tender technical documents and contractual tender documents.
- Collaborate with different departments to align documents with the overall project objectives and standards.
- Recommend modifications to mitigate risks and ensure that contractual terms are robust and enforceable.
- Participate in the drafting of the technical tender documents along with the relevant technical experts.
Qualifications
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include minimum 15 years’ experience in major infrastructure projects with a focus on tender documents and project contractual delivery partnered with Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, architecture, MEP, electronics, etc.) or a related field.
- Extensive experience preparing technical documents for tenders and project delivery, ensuring consistency, and identifying potential flaws to mitigate risks and enforce obligations.
- Experience in Rail or Metro.
- Strong background in both technical and contractual aspects of project tender preparation and delivery.
