Plan and oversee the general conduct of work activities related to the preventive and corrective maintenance of all plant mechanical equipment and related auxiliaries.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Management - Generate overall preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs,  for all plant mechanical equipment and their related auxiliaries factoring in operational requirements. Execute the preventive maintenance program within specified budget and timelines.

• Project Management - Build and implement mechanical projects required to support maintenance programs, and improve plant operations.

• Process - Develop adequate systems and procedures that would ensure effective documentation of  equipment history. Analyze information from the data accumulated to propose modifications or new installations that can improve plant performance and equipment availability or reduce operation and maintenance costs.

• People Management - Continuously train subordinates that would further develop them in the performance of their duties and responsibilities.

• Health & Safety - Integrate safety into all maintenance plans and methodology. 

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineer or Equivalent 
• Minimum eight years work experience gained from a  cement grinding unit or an integrated cement plant wiith a role in the supervision of people and relevant processes in the area of mechanical plant maintenance.
• Advanced computer literacy in Basic Software like word processing and excel sheets; background on using ERP (preferably SAP)
• Leadership skills
• In-depth H & S mindset
