Vacant Position: Network Engineer
Qualification & Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering roles, with a focus on designing, implementing, and supporting complex network infrastructure in enterprise environments.
- Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs, MPLS, QoS, and SD-WAN.
- Experience with network hardware and software from leading vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, and Arista.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption protocols.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Proven leadership abilities, including the ability to lead and mentor a team of network engineers to achieve common goals
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of networking
Job Description:
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-level network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points.
- Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and expansions to accommodate business growth and emerging technologies.
- Monitor network performance and security, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize network efficiency and reliability.
- Configure and maintain network protocols and services, including TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, DHCP, DNS, and VPNs.
- Collaborate with system administrators, software developers, and other stakeholders to integrate network infrastructure with systems and applications.
- Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior members of the network engineering team, fostering their professional development and growth.
- Stay informed about emerging networking technologies, trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Participate in the planning and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity strategies to ensure network resilience and uptime.
