Position Overview:
We are seeking skilled and passionate Environmental Engineers, Scientists, and Planners to join our team. The successful candidates will contribute to the development of environmental strategies and policies that promote sustainability and compliance with environmental regulations. In this role, you will be working with Transportation Engineers and Planners for developing strategies and policies for the transportation systems that support sustainable urban growth, quality of life, health of people and the environment. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, technical expertise, and a passion for sustainable transport solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and feasibility studies.
- Develop and implement long-term strategic environmental management plans and policies.
- Strong knowledge of environmental engineering, including water and air quality management and habitat restoration.
- Perform field investigations, collect data, and analyze environmental samples.
- Utilize GIS and other analytical tools to model environmental processes and impacts.
- Stay updated on the latest environmental regulations, technologies, and best practices.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of current conditions and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with government agencies, stakeholders, and community groups to gather input and ensure project alignment.
- Utilize modeling software and tools to predict future effects of transportation systems on health and environment.
- Prepare and present detailed reports, proposals, and presentations to clients, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
Skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in environmental engineering, science, or planning.
- Must have experience in working with engineering consultants or government agencies.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
- Good knowledge with GIS software and other environmental modeling tools.
- Middle East or GCC experience, preferred.
- Arabic speaker, preferred.
- Must be excellent in report development and writing.
- Experience in working on large-scale transportation projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
