Operational

The accountabilities of a Waiter include:

1. Greeting guests and seating them at their table.

2. Taking orders and relaying them to the kitchen staff.

3. Serving food and drinks to guests.

4. Handling payment and providing change.

5. Ensuring that the dining area is clean and tidy.


Personal Development

In terms of personal development, a Waiter can work on developing their communication and customer service skills by interacting with guests and handling inquiries and complaints. They can also work on building their teamwork skills by working closely with other members of the restaurant staff.


Data Protection

  • Ensure that in performance of the role, all uses, disclosures and requests of any information (in any form) are done in accordance with data protection principles adopted by the Doha Oasis Department Store Printemps and are limited to what is reasonably required to accomplish the intended business purposes of the use, disclosure, or request.
  • Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures regarding the use, processing, disclosure, and security of any information (in any form) and ensure that all staff (under my direct supervision) if any are aware of and comply.
  • Consult the HR Department in matters related to data protection and privacy as appropriate
  • Ensure the confidentiality, security and protection of all information handled in the course of duties is maintained at all times from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, deletion/destruction, corruption, modification, inspection or recording.

Operational Safety

  • Ensure full awareness of work health and safety requirements and expectations in order to minimize health and safety risks for self and colleagues
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the operation to guarantee employee safety, security, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality service with a responsible environmental attitude
  • Take a direct and personal interest in reported injuries, incidents, near misses and hazards to ensure that appropriate reporting, investigation, and response is being achieved

Environmental Competencies Understand

  • Contribute towards Doha Oasis Department Store Printemps Environmental Objectives and targets
  • Have a good understanding of environmental principles and tools and how they apply to your department and role

Qualification, Experience & Skills include:

Qualifications for a Waiter typically include a high school diploma or equivalent experience. Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality establishment is also essential. Key skills for a Waiter include:

1. Strong communication and customer service skills.

2. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.

3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
