We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Investment Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in venture capital/ Private Equity with a proven track record of sourcing, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities in early-stage companies. The Investment Associate will play a key role in all aspects of the investment process, from sourcing and due diligence to deal execution and portfolio management.

Transaction Advisory:

• Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities, analyzing financial statements, industry trends, and market dynamics.
• Evaluate and model potential financial scenarios to assess risk and return profiles.
• Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and market research.

Private Equity:

• Assess and analyze investment opportunities in alignment with the firm's investment strategy.
• Monitor and manage existing portfolio investments, identifying opportunities for value creation.
•  Provide regular reports and updates on the performance of portfolio companies.

Financial Analysis:

• Perform in-depth financial analysis, including cash flow modeling, DCF analysis, and scenario analysis.
•  Keep abreast of industry trends, economic indicators, and market developments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Deal Sourcing:

• Proactively identify and source potential investment opportunities through various channels, including networking events, industry conferences, pitch competitions, and referrals.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, disruptive technologies, and promising startups in the target industry/sector.

Due Diligence:

• Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including market analysis, competitive landscape assessment, financial modeling, and risk analysis.
• Evaluate the strength of the founding team, market opportunity, product/market fit, competitive positioning, and growth potential of target companies.

Investment Analysis:

• Develop detailed financial models and investment memos to support investment recommendations and decision-making.
• Present investment opportunities to the investment committee, providing comprehensive analysis and recommendations based on thorough due diligence.

Deal Execution:

• Lead negotiations and structuring of investment terms, including equity ownership, valuation, governance rights, and exit preferences.
• Coordinate with legal, financial, and other stakeholders to facilitate the closing of investment transactions in a timely and efficient manner.

Portfolio Management:

• Monitor the performance of portfolio companies, tracking key metrics, milestones, and financial performance against established targets.
• Provide strategic guidance and support to portfolio company management teams, leveraging industry expertise, networks, and resources to drive growth and value creation.

Skills

• Master's Degree from a top-tier university, preferably with an MBA or master’s in finance.
• CFA or CAIA designation is an advantage.
• Proven experience in Transaction Advisory, both Sell Side and Buy Side, with a focus on M&A.
• Previous involvement in deals and M&A transactions is mandatory.
• Previous experience in Private Equity, Venture Capital or with a Big 4 Financial Advisory Company is highly desirable.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with strong understanding of valuation
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proactive and detail-oriented approach to work.
• Fluent in English.
