Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA/QC Mechanical Inspector to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control in the mechanical industry.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and tests on mechanical systems and equipment to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to verify that the installation and fabrication of mechanical systems meet the required standards.
- Inspect and test materials and equipment received on-site to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports and documentation, including non-conformance reports and corrective action reports.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve any quality issues and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings and project kick-off meetings to provide input on quality requirements and procedures.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with project quality control procedures and protocols.
- Conduct audits and surveillance of subcontractors and suppliers to verify their compliance with quality control requirements.
- Provide training and guidance to project personnel on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Ensure that all work is carried out following applicable safety regulations and company policies.
Preferred Candidate:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control in the mechanical industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Experience in conducting inspections and tests on mechanical systems and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proficient in the use of inspection tools and equipment.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Professional Experience & Certifications:
- Total 7-8 years of diversified experience in EPCCI-based projects comprising Oil & Gas/petrochemical, processing plants & Refineries etc.
- Possess valid (at least 1.5 to 02 years validity remaining) certifications including but not limited to the following:
- Certified Welding inspector of CSWIP 3.1 as minimum
- Certified Coating Inspector of BGAS Grade 01/02 or NACE Level I/II
- Certified QMS Lead Auditor ISO 9001 2015 from IRCA-UK approved body.
- Possess ASNT NDT Level II as a minimum (RT UT PT MT). Geographic Experience
