Position: Staff Ruby Engineer Type: Contract Compensation: $20 - $80/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Role Responsibilities Design and architect robust, scalable systems and services using Ruby and Rails Lead the development of APIs and service-oriented architectures to enable seamless integrations Drive performance optimization efforts across applications and databases Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement technical solutions Establish and uphold best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence
Requirements Have expert proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails Have extensive experience in system design and architecture for mission-critical applications Have advanced skills in relational and non-relational database design Have a proven track record of performance optimization and scalability improvements Have a strong background in API design and service-oriented architecture Demonstrate mentorship abilities and team leadership experience
