SITUATION IN ORGANIZATION

- Position in the Field Operations Maintenance & Inspection (M&I) / Electrical & Instrumentation/ Electrical & HVAC
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Safely and efficiently perform the activities of the Electrical & HVAC team set out in Field Operation Ensure NOC rules, specifications and procedures are followed in the execution of PM and CM works. Maintenance in line with organizational strategic objectives, targets and plans. Engage in team development and implement solutions for continuous improvement. Provide technical support to the maintenance work. Effectively work with the other stake holders in the organization to support identification, of challenges/threats and develop appropriate, fit for purpose solutions that meet ALARP and cost criteria.
JOB DIMENSIONS
- Provide maintenance Electrical Engineering support within FOPS in accordance with approved NOC procedures, guidelines, design limitations, technical standards and legislative requirements.
- Role in maintenance planning, preparation and support for execution, collaborating and driving integration on daily basis with a wide/ diverse range of stakeholders, in line with 2- years, 4- months, 5- weeks IOP planning.
- Position requires technical expertise and experience in the offshore electrical systems and equipment which include transformers, switchgear, switchboard, MCC, motors, generator and HVAC systems.
ACTIVITIES
- Contributing and assist the team lead to develop and maintain an incident free environment through maintaining a strong safety culture.
- Ensuring compliance with HSE (occupational) legislation, Company standards and procedures for continuous process, operational Safety & Plant Integrity.
- Provide first level technical advice and support to Tier- 1 (Operation Center) as part of Tier- 2 support team or Operations and Engineering, offshore personnel plant/ equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis and investigations as when and where required.
- Provide robust PPM and CM data with good engineering practice and company standards to support safe and efficient planning, preparation, execution and close out of base operations, campaign and shutdown maintenance activities to ensure high equipment reliability and availability.
- Provide technical and administrative support to campaign and shutdown teams to ensure the overall readiness and execution of scopes in line with campaign shutdown gate criteria process. Work order resourcing and review to reduce in business- critical backlog.
- Visit offshore sites on task or project basis to enhance collaboration and supervision to sites to ensure successful delivery of job scopes.
- Manage the repair process for critical equipment, including visits to local vendor workshops and warehouses.
- Ensure 4- months and 5- weeks plans are optimized, liaise with planning department and attend weekly IOP meetings as activity owner to ensure gate criteria are achieved.
- Execution and manage of class- 2 modification project with vendor or based operations assistance.
- Provide cost estimates and budgets, services contract management, oversee spending within the allocated budget for Electrical and HVAC related PM and CM activities
- Maintain effective communication with external parties- Contractors/ vendors and functional teams as required to meet company strategic business and operational objectives.
- Contribute to improvements, development and implementation of department activities, processes and procedures.
- Provide coaching and support to Qatari nationals in development roles.
- Any other ad-hoc tasks as directed by Team Lead
- Participate in crisis response training and assist during emergency response situations if required.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
- Position is in a Joint Venture Operating Company on the Al Shaheen oil and gas field, one of the largest offshore oil and gas fields in the world. The role is onshore based in Doha, Qatar and is a permanent staff position on a residential basis (5 day working week). Role will require regular offshore trips together with visits to contractor offices and facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Engineering Degree or industry recognized technical qualifications supported by industry experience (offshore and onshore oil and gas facilities).
- Minimum of 7- years’ experience working in the oil and gas industry in a similar role. Supervisory experience an advantage.
- Skilled and experienced in working in a multi- cultural and highly technical specialized environment.
- Thorough understanding and application of industry process safety guidelines and procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of cross discipline maintenance requirements, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and planning processes.
- Expert user of SAP Maintenance module
- Versatile, resilient and able to interact effectively with peers and Management on daily basis.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a large team.
- Medically fit to travel to offshore oil & gas platform
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Industry recognized training and professional certification.
