Position Overview

The Engineering Supervisor supports engineering and facilities operations at Element City Center Doha.

The role combines hotel equipment maintenance, life-safety checks, guest repair response, and employee support.

Maintenance and Facilities Duties

Install, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment. Calibrate controls, gauges, and meters and operate identified shut-off valves. Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies and maintain inventory and purchase-order logs. Inspect tools, equipment, and machines and record work-related information using computers. Operate a power lift. Complete life-safety checklists, including fire-pump and generator run tests. Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems and assist with disaster response protocols. Respond to guest repair requests.

Team and Service Duties

Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees. Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities. Develop positive working relationships and support the team in reaching common goals. Identify and implement ways to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost savings.

Preferred Qualifications

A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred. At least 2 years of related work experience is preferred. At least 2 years of supervisory experience is preferred. No license or certification is specified.

Physical and Safety Requirements

Complete required safety training and certifications. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Reach overhead and below the knees and perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and move up and down stairs or service ramps.

Workplace and Schedule

The position is located at Element City Center Doha in Qatar. The schedule is full time. The role is not remote.
