Etqan Global Academy is looking to recruit a PYP ICT Teacher to join our team in Doha, Qatar.

Etqan Global Academy (EGA) is a values-driven IB World School in Doha, Qatar, offering the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled PYP ICT Teacher to plan and deliver outstanding Computing & ICT lessons, integrating technology meaningfully within the Programme of Inquiry and inspiring students to become confident, creative and responsible digital learners.

The role:

We seek an individual to join as PYP ICT Teacher where your focus will be:

• Planning and delivering outstanding, inquiry-based ICT lessons within the IB PYP framework, integrating technology meaningfully within the Programme of Inquiry
• Collaborating with homeroom and specialist teachers to promote student agency, creativity and transdisciplinary learning through technology
• Developing students' skills progressively in coding/programming, computational thinking, digital design, robotics and emerging technologies
• Designing authentic project- and problem-based learning experiences that enable students to investigate, create, test and evaluate
• Promoting digital citizenship, online safety, data privacy, academic integrity and the responsible and ethical use of AI
• Incorporating enrichment activities, clubs, and extra-curricular events that raise the profile of ICT and deepen student engagement
• Contributing actively to curriculum development, assessment moderation and the wider life of EGA

The Successful Candidate will possess:

• A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE/PGDE or equivalent) and a Bachelor's degree in ICT or a related subject
• Previous IB PYP and/or MYP experience
• Excellent classroom practice, with engaging, creative and well-structured lessons
• Experience integrating technology within inquiry-based and transdisciplinary learning (highly desirable)
• Experience with coding, computational thinking, digital design and/or robotics (highly desirable)
• Understanding of digital citizenship, emerging technologies and responsible AI use (highly desirable)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively with teachers across subject areas and grade levels
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students
• Fluent English speaker (native or near-native); ability to meet visa requirements for working in Qatar
