Associate - Litigation Doha, Qatar Leading Market Rate + Standard Market-Leading Benefits
An established legal practice in Doha is looking to appoint an Associate to join its Litigation team. The role will suit a disputes lawyer with 3 to 5 years' experience who has developed strong legal research, drafting and case management skills and is looking to build their practice within a busy litigation team.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare correspondence and legal documents including pleadings, briefs, applications and settlement agreements. Conduct legal research, assist with preparation for hearings and legal proceedings, and provide support to senior lawyers. Analyse legal issues, assist in developing solutions for clients and support negotiations on their behalf. Work closely with senior associates, paralegals, trainees and clients to ensure matters are progressed effectively. Maintain accurate and organised client files and ensure relevant case information is kept up to date.
Candidate Requirements:3 to 5 years' experience in a law firm or legal practice with general litigation experience. Middle East experience is essential, with experience working before GCC courts considered an advantage. Strong legal knowledge, with the ability to understand complex matters, conduct effective research and identify applicable laws. Arabic speaker with a good command of English and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple matters, organise competing priorities and work both independently and collaboratively, including under pressure.
This is a good opportunity for an Associate with established Middle East litigation experience to develop their contentious practice while working closely with experienced senior lawyers and taking increasing responsibility for client matters.
