We are currently looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent (Scaffolding).

This position is based in Onshore- Ras Laffan, Qatar.

Contract duration : 3 Years
Working Hours/Day: 8-10 Hours/day
Working Days/Week: 6 days/week
Leave Rotation: 12 weeks on / 2 weeks off (Single status)/ 30 Days Annual Leave (Family Status)

Job Purpose

The Construction Superintendent Scaffolding shall provide the technical and construction expertise for Train Project which involves contractor coordination and supervision to manage work fronts and ensure compliance with the approved construction sequence, project requirements, safety, quality, schedule and Company specifications. The Construction Superintendent Scaffolding will interact daily with construction teams and have the ability to communicate daily plans with the contractor team and have sound capabilities working in the permit to work procedure to identify and mitigation safety risks to provide safe work fronts.

Must have

Diploma and discipline/trade specific vocational certification.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.

Responsibilities

- Promote and uphold safety, health, environmental and worker welfare standards across all construction execution activities.
- Coordinate and supervise scaffolding execution activities of the EPC contractor and its subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project plans, interfaces, and reporting requirements of the Construction Area Manager.
- Have a strong understanding of the values of permit to work and task specific mitigation planning for scaffold erect and teardowns.
- Review and approve scaffolding methodologies, work packs, rental quantities, and site procedures.
- Participate, as required, in the workshops which are related to the construction risk assessments and constructability reviews.
- Review and report scaffolding progress, manpower deployment, and productivity metrics
- Maintain effective communication with OPCO, contractors, and project teams.
- Monitor site material handling, scaffolding and equipment inspections to support safe and efficient construction activities.
- Monitor scaffold laydown procedures and area management to facilitate construction progress.
