Job description

  1. Manage and oversee all day-to-day landscape maintenance operations to ensure the highest standards of park presentation, functionality, and sustainability.
  2. Plan, organize, and coordinate landscape maintenance programs, inspections, installations, repairs, and seasonal landscaping activities.
  3. Supervise contractors and staff, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, operational procedures, and quality standards.
  4. Apply horticultural expertise to identify and resolve landscape issues, including pests, diseases, weeds, and plant health concerns.
  5. Manage and optimize irrigation systems, including monitoring pump efficiency, water pressure, flow rates, and daily water consumption.
  6. Support landscape design initiatives, plant selection, seasonal displays, and the implementation of improvement projects for park facilities and infrastructure.
  7. Monitor budgets, prepare cost estimates, review contractor invoices, manage procurement processes, and ensure value for money from landscape maintenance contracts.
  8. Coordinate with internal departments, event organizers, concession operators, contractors, suppliers, and government authorities to support park operations and projects.
  9. Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, manage documentation, investigate complaints, and contribute to contract administration and re-tendering activities.
  10. Drive continuous improvement by implementing industry best practices, maintaining technical expertise, and ensuring the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of park visitors and stakeholders.

Skills

  • Strong proficiency in landscape design.
  • In-depth knowledge of horticulture, soil science, and environmental sustainability practices.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Ability to effectively communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders through presentations and reports.
