Job Summary We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager – Consultant to manage, coordinate, and deliver a portfolio of IT projects within the banking and financial services environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects from initiation through closure, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards while aligning with the organization's strategic objectives. The role requires strong expertise in project governance, stakeholder management, vendor coordination, risk management, financial planning, and IT project delivery. The ideal candidate should possess excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills with extensive experience managing enterprise IT projects in the banking sector. Key Responsibilities1. Project & Portfolio Management Manage a portfolio of IT projects using the organization's Project Management methodology. Lead projects through initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Prepare Project Initiation Documents (PID), project charters, and project closure reports. Monitor project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and quality. Ensure successful project delivery aligned with business objectives. Track project performance using KPIs and project metrics.2. Stakeholder & Vendor Management Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders. Coordinate with IT departments, business units, and external vendors. Manage vendor contracts, deliverables, and performance. Facilitate steering committee meetings, project reviews, and stakeholder workshops. Provide regular project status updates to senior management.3. Governance, Risk & Compliance Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Maintain project risk and issue registers. Ensure compliance with IT governance frameworks and organizational policies. Support internal and external audit activities. Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and data protection standards. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive business information.4. Leadership & Team Management Lead cross-functional project teams. Coordinate internal and external project resources. Resolve project conflicts and resource issues. Mentor and guide project team members. Promote collaboration and continuous improvement.5. Financial & Budget Management Prepare and manage project budgets. Monitor project costs and resource utilization. Track project financial performance. Ensure projects remain within approved budgets. Support procurement and financial planning activities.6. Technical Oversight Understand enterprise application architecture and system integrations. Review technical solution approaches with architects and technical teams. Support decision-making regarding technology selection and implementation. Coordinate solution delivery across infrastructure, applications, and security teams.7. Reporting & Communication Prepare project dashboards and executive reports. Present project progress to senior management and steering committees. Maintain project documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Communicate project risks, dependencies, and milestones effectively. Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in:Information Technology Computer Science Information Systems Computer Engineering Software Engineering Business Administration Related Discipline Preferred MBAMaster's Degree Certifications Mandatory PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent PMI certification Preferred PRINCE2 Practitioner PMI-ACPAgile Scrum Master (CSM/PSM) ITIL Foundation Experience Minimum 8 years of IT Project Management experience. Experience managing enterprise IT projects in Banking or Financial Services. Experience managing multiple concurrent projects. Experience with project governance and portfolio management. Experience managing vendors and third-party partners.
