Roles & Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
To ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant living and working environment across camps and facilities by implementing HSE policies, conducting inspections, and promoting safety awareness.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across camps and facilities.
Conduct regular inspections of accommodation, kitchens, dining areas, laundries, recreational areas, and common facilities.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, company standards, and client requirements.
Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor hygiene, sanitation, and waste management practices to maintain high standards.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend improvements.
Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for staff and residents.
Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety signage.
Coordinate with maintenance teams to address safety-related issues promptly.
Maintain HSE records, reports, permits, and documentation.
Promote a positive safety culture among employees and camp residents.
Desired Candidate Profile
Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE, preferably in camps or facilities management.
Knowledge of local HSE regulations and standards.
Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills.
Ability to handle emergencies and enforce safety compliance.
