Role Description The Lifeguard role at AMWAJ Group of Companies is a full-time, on-site position based in Qatar. The Lifeguard is responsible for monitoring pools and aquatic areas, ensuring the safety of guests and team members by preventing and responding to emergencies. Daily tasks include supervising swimmers, enforcing safety rules, performing water rescues when required, and administering first aid and CPR in accordance with established protocols. The role also involves inspecting and maintaining safety equipment, reporting hazards, and supporting overall cleanliness and organization of pool areas. Lifeguards collaborate closely with other staff to uphold AMWAJ’s high standards of service, safety, and guest experience.
Qualifications
Strong swimming abilities and demonstrated water safety skills appropriate for lifeguard duties. Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized body and current first aid/CPR certification. Knowledge of emergency response procedures, rescue techniques, and safe operation of pool facilities. Good observation, communication, and conflict-management skills to enforce rules respectfully and effectively. Ability to remain alert for extended periods, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and respond quickly under pressure. Previous experience as a lifeguard or in a similar safety-focused role in hospitality or recreation environments is an advantage. Basic proficiency in English; additional language skills commonly used in Qatar are beneficial. Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards, with a customer-focused and team-oriented mindset.
