Job description

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and provide legal advice on a broad range of commercial contracts, corporate documents, and legal instruments, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, internal policies, and business objectives.
  • Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to business units on day-to-day legal and contractual matters.
  • Support new business ventures, investments, restructurings, and other corporate transactions by conducting legal reviews, preparing documentation, and identifying legal risks.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain corporate governance documentation, including board and shareholders' resolutions, powers of attorney, constitutional documents, statutory records, and related corporate filings.
  • Conduct legal research on applicable laws, regulations, and legal developments, and provide legal opinions and recommendations.
  • Perform such other legal duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Group Legal and Contracts Department Manager.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Law from a reputable university.
  • Bilingual in Arabic and English, with excellent written and spoken communication skills in both languages. Knowledge of French is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of four (4) years' post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial legal practice, preferably within an in-house legal department of a diversified group or a reputable law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, contract, and general business laws.
  • Excellent legal drafting, contract negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
