Job description

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on LV/MV electric motors, pumps, fans, compressors, and rotating equipment across the QAFCO fertilizer plant
  • Carry out motor rewinding, insulation resistance testing (IR/PI tests), vibration analysis, and shaft alignment checks; interpret results and initiate corrective actions
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, MCC panels, motor starters, and VFDs; coordinate with the control room and process teams during equipment isolation and reinstatement
  • Work under the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system and strictly follow LOTO procedures during all maintenance activities
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using SAP PM; prepare job reports, material requisitions, and support shutdown/turnaround planning and execution
  • Comply with QAFCO HSE policies and handle explosion-proof (Ex) equipment in ATEX/IECEx classified hazardous areas safely

Requirements
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification
  • ValidElectrical License Certificate(issued by a recognized authority); QAFCO or QP vendor approval is an advantage
  • 3–5 yearsof hands-on experience in electrical motor maintenance within theOil & Gas or Fertilizer industry
  • Proven plant experience including turnaround/shutdown maintenance, working in hazardous classified areas, and handling process-critical rotating equipment
  • Working knowledge of VFDs, MCC panels, motor starters, and basic understanding of SCADA/DCS systems
  • Experience with SAP PM for maintenance planning and reporting
  • Candidates available to joinimmediatelyare strongly preferred
