Job Description Job Title Software Quality & Testing Expert Job Summary The Software Quality & Testing Expert oversees the planning, design, and execution of software quality assurance and testing activities across ORGANISATION’s digital platforms and applications. The role ensures that systems—particularly those supporting e-invoicing and digital tax services—are thoroughly tested, stable, and compliant with defined quality standards prior to release. The role supports release readiness, advises on testing strategies and tools, and addresses complex quality issues to ensure reliable and high-quality digital services across ORGANISATION, in alignment with the Digital Quality & Release Management function. Key Responsibilities Software Quality Assurance & Testing Strategy Design and oversee comprehensive software testing strategies covering functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing across ORGANISATION systems. Ensure testing approaches are aligned with release plans, system criticality, and regulatory requirements, including e-invoicing platforms. Review and validate test plans and test cases to ensure adequate coverage of business, technical, and compliance requirements. Testing Execution & Release Readiness Oversee the execution of testing activities across digital platforms and coordinate testing cycles with development, integration, and business teams. Ensure regression and non-regression testing is embedded within release cycles to safeguard system stability. Review key testing results, defect trends, and quality indicators to assess release readiness and recommend go/no-go decisions. Defect Management & Quality Improvement Monitor defect identification, classification, and resolution processes and ensure critical issues are prioritized and addressed before release. Analyze defect root causes and recurring quality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Support continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and practices to enhance release quality and stability. E-Invoicing & Digital Tax Systems Quality Support Lead quality assurance and testing activities for e-invoicing and digital tax platforms, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with ORGANISATION requirements. Ensure testing covers end-to-end invoice submission, validation, processing, reporting, and integration scenarios. Support testing of regulatory changes, enhancements, and system integrations impacting e-invoicing services. Quality Metrics, Reporting & Assigned Tasks Define and monitor software quality metrics, including defect density, test coverage, and release stability indicators. Prepare and maintain quality reports to support management oversight and continuous improvement initiatives. Perform additional software quality and testing tasks as assigned by the Digital Quality & Release Management Section Head. Preferred Qualifications & Experience Preferred qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree in a related field is preferred. Relevant professional certifications in software testing or quality assurance (e.g. ISTQB or equivalent) are an advantage. Preferred experience16+ years of relevant experience in software quality assurance, software testing, or digital release support roles. Proven experience managing complex testing activities for enterprise or government digital platforms. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, defect management, and release stability assurance, preferably in regulated environments. Technical & Other Skills Strong expertise in software testing practices, test management, and quality assurance frameworks. Analytical skills to evaluate quality risks and testing outcomes across complex systems. Effective communication and coordination skills to work with development, operations, and business stakeholders. Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and support cross-functional release initiatives.
