Roles & Responsibilities

Parsons is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager Assistant to join our team! In this role, you will support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing infrastructure and engineering projects. You will help ensure that project objectives are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This position requires solid organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

What You ll Be Doing

  • Assisting the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities to support timely delivery.
  • Monitoring project progress and preparing regular status updates and reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Coordinating with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to maintain alignment with project objectives.
  • Assisting in the preparation of project documentation, including reports, presentations, correspondence, and meeting minutes.
  • Helping identify project risks, issues, and challenges, and supporting the Project Manager in developing mitigation and resolution actions.
  • Supporting the implementation of company policies, procedures, health and safety requirements, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Reviewing and tracking project deliverables to help ensure they meet client requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Assisting in the management of contracts, procurement activities, and vendor/consultant coordination.
  • Conducting or supporting site visits to monitor progress, observe risks, and check adherence to project plans and specifications.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned to support the successful execution of projects.

What Required Skills You ll Bring

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 15 years of experience in project management or a closely related role, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sector.
  • Experience working on infrastructure projects such as roads, drainage, utilities, and other civil works.
  • Good understanding of project management principles, tools, and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6 or MS Project) and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to support the resolution of project challenges and risks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • MME certification in Qatar.

What Desired Skills You ll Bring

  • Familiarity with Qatar/GCC regulations, standards, and permitting processes.
  • Knowledge of basic contract management and procurement processes.
  • Project management certification (e.g., CAPM or PMP) is an advantage.
  • Previous experience working in the Middle East or GCC region is a plus.

Desired Candidate Profile
