Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

  • Set up banquet venues according to event orders, including tables, chairs, linens, and service equipment
  • Provide professional food and beverage service during banquets, conferences, weddings, and special events
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently, following service sequences and quality standards
  • Attend pre function briefings to understand event requirements, menus, and service flow
  • Liaise with supervisors, kitchen, and bar teams to ensure smooth service execution
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas before, during, and after events
  • Clear tables and reset spaces promptly and efficiently between courses or events
  • Handle guest requests and queries politely, escalating issues when necessary
  • Adhere strictly to hygiene, health, and safety standards
  • Follow hotel policies, brand standards, and grooming guidelines
  • Assist with breakdown and storage of banquet equipment after events
  • Support colleagues and supervisors to ensure overall guest satisfaction

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Banquet Waiter or Food & Beverage Server in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards
  • Good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow instructions
  • Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and food handling practices is an advantage
