Job Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and govern the eHealth technology scope, resources, and reporting across all program areas, ensuring consistency, reliability, and scalability of all deliverables.
- Act as the single point of contact for the eHealth program on technology deliverables across all workstreams.
- Lead and manage a team of technical specialists and system analysts responsible for supporting Health Information Exchange (HIE) Hub solutions and infrastructure implementation and ongoing maintenance.
- Provide direction, develop, and mentor information technology staff within the eHealth department.
- Develop, maintain, and manage the overall technology resource plan to ensure timely assignment of resources across all program projects.
- Proactively develop, support, and strategically manage a highly complex eHealth ecosystem.
- Work hand-in-hand with vendor(s) on the implementation of a nation-wide platform aligned to the eHealth vision.
- Ensure all projects carry an appropriate level of requirement detail and obtain sign-off from eHealth managers and stakeholders.
- Manage and contribute to architectural review processes and liaise closely with solutions architects to maintain standards throughout program implementation.
- Implement and maintain all integration activities using the latest technology integration engines.
- Develop and maintain information security policies and supporting policies to ensure successful program implementation with appropriate stakeholder authorization and endorsement.
- Identify, facilitate, and drive resolution of all eHealth program technology-related issues and risks.
- Coordinate and facilitate program meetings and working sessions, including weekly progress reviews, design sessions, and requirements walkthroughs.
- Contribute to and manage SLAs to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of services during and post go-live.
- Establish a periodic and ongoing reporting mechanism to keep management and stakeholders informed throughout the program lifecycle.
Desired Candidate Profile
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of IT experience, with at least 10 years at management level, applying the latest project management methodologies and technologies.
- In-depth working knowledge of healthcare information technology solutions and project management.
- Strong experience implementing national health information systems and solutions.
- Experience conducting system assessments and audits to identify improvement areas and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Proven experience working with vendors to coordinate implementation and integration of clinical systems and applications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Ability to adapt to a changing work environment and shifting schedules.
