Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Architect cloud platforms on AWS and / or Microsoft Azure aligned to the client's enterprise architecture.
- Design and operate landing zones, account / subscription strategies, and identity federation.
- Govern cloud security baseline IAM, KMS, network controls, logging, compliance posture.
- Lead cloud cost optimisation (FinOps) tagging, rightsizing, reserved capacity, governance dashboards.
- Architect and operate container platforms Kubernetes (EKS / AKS / on-prem), service mesh, registry.
- Build and govern Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Architect hybrid connectivity Direct Connect / ExpressRoute, VPN, SD-WAN.
- Drive cloud migration of on-prem workloads discovery, assessment, migration waves.
- Govern cloud-native development standards twelve-factor, observability, secrets management.
- Mentor cloud engineers and provide architectural leadership.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related.
- 8+ years' experience in cloud engineering, with 4+ at senior or expert level.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional OR Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert mandatory.
- Strong Kubernetes operations experience (CKA / CKAD preferred).
- Hands-on Terraform (or CloudFormation / Bicep) at production scale.
- DevOps tooling Jenkins / GitLab CI / GitHub Actions / Argo CD.
- Strong scripting in Python or Bash.
- Native or fluent Arabic AND professional English preferred (not mandatory).
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Multi-cloud (AWS + Azure) certifications.
- HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate / Vault Operations.
- Cloud security certs AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer.
- FinOps Certified Practitioner.
- Prior Qatar government cloud transformation experience.
