Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation, configuration, patching, and ongoing administration of enterprise applications.
- Own application capacity planning and performance management.
- Drive application disaster recovery readiness runbook quality, drill execution, RTO/RPO compliance.
- Govern application change management review and approve high-risk changes.
- Manage application licensing, entitlements, and renewal cycles.
- Lead application security hardening and patch management cadence.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, database, and security teams on platform operations.
- Mentor application support staff on administration best practices.
- Author and maintain administration runbooks, SOPs, and disaster recovery plans.
- Govern integration with monitoring, backup, and ITSM platforms.
Desired Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- 10+ years' experience in application administration on enterprise platforms.
- Deep expertise in administration of at least two of: Oracle EBS/Fusion, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, OpenText, IBM FileNet, ServiceNow.
- Strong SQL skills and database administration awareness (Oracle, SQL Server).
- Hands-on application middleware administration WebLogic, Tomcat, IIS.
- ITIL v4 Foundation; ITIL Specialist preferred.
- Native or fluent Arabic AND professional English preferred (not mandatory).
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Vendor administrator certifications (Oracle Certified, SAP Administrator, Microsoft Certified, OpenText Administrator).
- Linux / Windows Server administration depth.
- Cloud platform exposure (AWS, Azure) for hybrid application hosting.
- Experience in Qatar or GCC government IT environments.
