Roles & Responsibilities
Act as L4 escalation point for all application-layer incidents and problems.
Lead architectural troubleshooting on enterprise applications and integrations.
Drive vendor escalations to closure on persistent or systemic issues.
Mentor and coach Senior Application Support Specialists.
Define and own the application monitoring, observability, and alerting strategy.
Lead application performance tuning and capacity planning exercises.
Govern application change management review high-risk changes pre-implementation.
Own application disaster recovery readiness and runbook quality.
Interface with Enterprise Architect on application roadmap and modernisation initiatives.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology; Master's preferred.
12+ years in application support, with 5+ years at L3/L4 expert level on enterprise platforms.
Deep architectural-level expertise on at least two of: Oracle EBS/Fusion, SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics 365, OpenText, IBM FileNet.
DBA-level SQL and database tuning skills (Oracle, SQL Server).
ITIL v4 Foundation; ITIL Specialist / Strategist preferred.
Native or fluent Arabic AND professional English preferred (not mandatory).
5+ years of GCC region experience preferred.
TOGAF 9.2 / 10 awareness.
ITIL v4 Master / Strategic Leader.
Vendor master certifications (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft).
Prior tenure in Qatar government IT leadership.
