Job Summary The Bid Engineer is responsible for supporting the preparation, coordination, and submission of competitive technical and commercial bids for IT solutions and services. This role acts as a key interface between sales, technical teams, vendors, and finance to ensure timely, compliant, and high‑quality bid responses aligned with client requirements and company strategy. Key Responsibilities Analyze RFPs, RFQs, and ITTs to understand technical, commercial, and compliance requirements. Coordinate with technical teams to develop solution architectures, bill of quantities (BoQ), and technical inputs. Prepare and consolidate bid documents including technical proposals, compliance matrices, and pricing support. Support commercial costing activities, including margin calculations, OPEX/CAPEX models, and pricing templates. Liaise with vendors and OEMs to obtain quotations, technical datasheets, and required certifications. Ensure bids comply with client instructions, submission formats, deadlines, and internal approval processes. Maintain bid schedules, track actions, and follow up with internal stakeholders on pending inputs. Assist in risk assessment, assumptions, and clarifications related to bids. Support post‑submission activities such as clarifications and prepare presentation if required. Maintain bid documentation repositories, lessons learned, and standard templates. Ensure adherence to company quality standards and bid governance processes. Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.2–5 years of experience in bid management, presales, or proposal engineering within an IT/ICT environment. Strong understanding of IT solutions such as networking, infrastructure, cybersecurity and cloud, data centers. Experience working with OEMs/vendors (e.g., Cisco, Dell, Fortinet, Palo Alto, VMware, etc.) is an advantage. Familiarity with RFP/RFQ processes in enterprise or government sectors is preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and attention‑to‑detail skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point); strong Excel costing skills are essential. Good understanding of commercial terms, pricing structures, and margin concepts. Team‑oriented, proactive, and able to coordinate across multiple departments. High level of organization and time management skills. Preferred Attributes Experience with CRM or bid management tools. Knowledge of regional (GCC) tendering processes is an advantage. Understanding of compliance standards (ISO, SLA, warranties, support models). Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
