Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Receive and inspect goods for quality, quantity, and condition.
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Monitor stock levels to avoid shortages and excess stock.
- Perform regular stock checks and audits to reconcile physical inventory with records.
- Label items and organize them in a way that ensures easy access and minimizes errors.
- Storage and Organization:
- Properly store items according to type, size, and function in designated locations.
- Ensure that goods are stored safely and comply with safety regulations.
- Arrange goods for easy retrieval, ensuring maximum use of storage space.
- Order Fulfilment:
- Prepare and pack goods for delivery or internal use.
- Ensure correct and timely distribution of goods to showrooms or customers.
- Handle the shipping and receiving of goods / containers , and ensure compliance with shipping procedures.
- Inventory Control:
- Monitor the condition of stock and rotate items to prevent damage or expiration (especially for perishable goods or the old goods ).
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damaged goods, or loss to the warehouse manager
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including receipts, issues, returns, and adjustments.
- Prepare order requests based on stock levels and trends.
- Safety and Cleanliness:
- Ensure the store or warehouse area is clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Follow safety procedures for handling goods and using equipment according to the warehouse manager instruction.
- Report any safety violations or concerns to the warehouse manager.
- Collaboration:
- Work and supervise a team of helpers and stock card holders in the warehouse .
- Assist other sister warehouses with goods if needed. ( Has experience to do 2-3 tasks at the same time )
Experience required:
· 3-4 year minimum as a storekeeper in Qatar.
· Fluent in English
· Hindi is required
· Arabic is preferable
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in supply chain management or logistics is a plus.
Skills
Skills and Qualifications:
- Attention to detail to avoid errors in delivery excess / short QTY.
- Organization skills to manage multiple tasks and ensure the smooth operation of the storage area.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems (SAP).
- Basic math skills for, counting, and providing the accurate report to the warehouse manager.
- Physical fitness as the job may require lifting, moving, and organizing heavy goods.
- Communication skills to collaborate with his direct supervisor.
