Position :Hyperscale Data Center Execution Engineer

Reports to: Senior Project Manager – Hyperscale Delivery

Key Responsibilities
Site Execution Leadership (50%)
Oversee EPC contractor performance across civil works, structural steel, MEP installation, and ICT fit-out for modular hyperscale campuses. Manage critical path sequencing: 33k V substation commissioning, 20-50MW genset installation, UPS farm deployment (20-100MVA), chiller plant commissioning. Conduct daily site walks, progress verification, quality inspections, and non-conformance resolution for 1.6-2.5MW/m² power density zones. Drive first-of-a-kind (FOAK) liquid cooling deployment (direct-to-chip, CDU integration) with mechanical coordination.
Contractor & Vendor Management (25%)
Supervise 5-10 major EPC packages: electrical balance of plant, cooling systems, fire suppression, security systems, containment. Track long-lead delivery against critical path milestones. Approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements; conduct pre-installation meetings and witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT). Manage interface risks between electrical, mechanical, ICT contractors during hall fit-out phases.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination (15%)
Serve as technical liaison with hyperscale tenants for design validation, milestone approvals, and punch list closure. Interface with Authority for utility approvals, load acceptance, and grid connection protocols. Support commercial team with variation orders, delay claims, and liquidated damages mitigation. Present weekly progress dashboards (schedule, cost, quality KPIs) to client Project Executives.
Commissioning & Handover (10%)
Lead Level 3-6 commissioning execution: functional testing, integrated systems testing (IST), reliability runs (72-168 hours). Coordinate load bank testing (up to 50MW), generator black start verification, UPS transfer validation. Facilitate client inspections, Tier certification walkthroughs, and operational readiness handover. Ensure as-built documentation, O&M manuals, and training completion before beneficial occupancy.
Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory
Bachelor's in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.12+ years construction/project execution experience, with 5+ years hyperscale data centers (>50MW). Proven track record delivering Tier III/IV MEP systems from groundbreaking to commissioning. Hands-on experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, Auto CAD, Navisworks; earned value management.
Desirable:
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification. Middle East delivery experience (Kahramaa interconnection, Qatar Construction Specifications). Liquid cooling deployment experience (rear-door heat exchangers, direct-to-chip manifolds). OEM factory witness experience (Schneider, ABB, Cummins, Vertiv).
