We are seeking a detail-driven and experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to support and enhance payroll operations, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining the highest standards of compliance, confidentiality, and service excellence.
Role Summary As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will oversee end-to-end payroll processing, support payroll governance and reporting, and contribute to continuous improvement across payroll systems and controls. Working closely with HR, Finance, and internal stakeholders, you will help drive operational excellence while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities Manage and execute accurate and timely payroll processing, including salary payments, deductions, benefits, and statutory obligations. Maintain and validate payroll data, including employee changes, transfers, allowances, and deductions. Prepare payroll reconciliations, reports, and analysis related to earnings, leave, liabilities, and payroll costs. Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee and stakeholder payroll queries with professionalism and accuracy. Support compliance with payroll legislation, internal controls, and audit requirements. Contribute to the development and enhancement of payroll policies, procedures, and process efficiencies. Partner with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations and accurate integration of employee data. Support payroll systems administration, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives, including optimization within SAP ERP or related HRIS platforms. Assist in monitoring payroll-related costs, controls, and process improvements to support operational effectiveness. Contribute to a high-performing team culture through collaboration, quality focus, and service excellence.
What We’re Looking For Proven experience in payroll administration, processing, and reporting, ideally in a complex or large-scale organization. Strong understanding of payroll controls, compliance requirements, taxation, and statutory obligations. Experience working with SAP ERP or similar payroll/HR systems. Strong analytical skills with experience in payroll reconciliation and compensation analysis. High attention to detail, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality. Ability to work with pace, accuracy, and sound judgment in a deadline-driven environment. Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
