Role Overview The Audio Visual (AV) Technical Support professional is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning, monitoring, and support of all AV systems within the venue during live events and tournaments. This role involves hands-on management of CATV, IPTV, and AV infrastructure, ensuring uninterrupted operations, quick troubleshooting, and adherence to broadcast safety and redundancy standards.
Key Responsibilities1. AV Systems Support & Operations Provide comprehensive technical support for all AV systems deployed within the venue, including display systems, audio systems, control systems, and signal distribution infrastructure Ensure seamless integration and functioning of CATV and IPTV systems across the venue Support setup, testing, and commissioning of AV systems prior to events
2. Monitoring & System Continuity Continuously monitor AV systems to ensure uninterrupted operation during live events and tournaments Proactively identify potential issues or risks and take preventive actions Ensure system redundancy measures are active and functioning as per broadcast requirements
3. Troubleshooting & Incident Management Diagnose and resolve technical faults related to AV, CATV, and IPTV systems in real time Respond promptly to technical incidents reported by internal teams, broadcasters, or event staff Escalate complex issues to senior technical teams or vendors when required, ensuring minimal downtime
4. Event Support Provide on-ground technical support during live events, rehearsals, and setup phases Coordinate with broadcast teams, production crews, and vendors to meet event-specific technical requirements Ensure all AV systems meet operational and broadcast quality standards throughout the event lifecycle
5. Compliance & Safety Adhere to broadcast safety standards, operational protocols, and redundancy requirements Ensure proper handling and usage of AV equipment to prevent failures or hazards Support implementation of best practices for system reliability and uptime
. Documentation & Reporting Maintain logs of system performance, incidents, and resolutions Document technical configurations, troubleshooting steps, and operational procedures Provide post-event reports highlighting issues, resolutions, and recommendations for improvement
Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Telecommunications, Media Technology, Electronics, or a related field Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in AV systems, CATV, and IPTV environments Experience working in live events, sports tournaments, or broadcast environments is highly preferred
Technical Skills Strong understanding of AV systems, signal flow, and distribution Hands-on experience with CATV and IPTV systems Knowledge of broadcast workflows, safety protocols, and redundancy planning Familiarity with AV control systems, video switching, and audio management Basic understanding of networking concepts related to AV/IPTV systems
